Text Tips:
To get your text to force a line break use a pipe symbol '|' between the words instead of a space.
To use the & symbol in your text enter it twice as shown here:
This && That = This & That
Entering a single & character will result in this:
This & That = This That
Color Tips:
To make a solid colored button set both colors to be identical. Select your first color and then click the "copy" button with the directional area you want to copy the color to, either left to right or right to left.
If you have selected the fill type of Elliptical or Rectangular for a layer you can click on the button to pinpoint where you want the center of the gradient design to initiate from.
Gradient Tips:
When you select either the Elliptical, Elliptical Style 2 or the Rectangular gradient style you can click in the button area to change where the highlight center of the gradient will appear on your button. Select one of the Cap options to change the Cap, Inset options to change the Inset and Base Options to change the base settings. It doesn't matter if you are on the Options or Color options screen, the program will know which you are adjusting.
Transparent PNGs
When saving transparent PNG images be aware that in older versions of various browsers they may not show up correctly. To enable transparent PNGs when exporting click on the Options|Transparent GIF/PNG menu item so that it is checked. Exported images will then be transparent.
Transparent GIFs
When creating a button that will be saved as a transparent GIF image select a background color that does not appear in your button. During the smoothing process shades of this color will be created and the converted back to the background color. When saving click on the Advanced button and click the Transparent checkbox but there is no need to alter the color choice, the background color will be automatically used.
See-through buttons
Set the Gradient Direction option for the Inset Layer to use the Image option and then set the Cap Layer transparency setting to around 200 and you will get a nice "see through" effect.
Default "New" Button
The New button used from the File|New menu resides in the programs directory and is named new.3db. If you would like to use a specific button for your "new" button simply save it over this file.
